Bubba Ray Dudley

Strange but true: Bubba Ray Dudley - whose rise to stardom began in Extreme Championship Wrestling -- was once an insecure little brother slapped around by his older siblings. In fact, he was so nervous around his Dudley brethren he would stutter profusely to the point he'd have to have the words slapped out of him! Yet Bubba's speech impediment never prevented him from having fun - he would often breakdance in the center of the ring - and it did little to ease the anxiety of opponents having to combat Bubba's brute strength and amazing agility for a big man.

On May 15, 1997, Bubba Ray and half-brother D-Von defeated the Eliminators (who featured future Federation Superstar, Perry Saturn) to capture their first ECW Tag Team Championship. Nobody realized it at the time, but Bubba Ray and D-Von were on the road to capturing eight ECW Tag Titles and becoming the most destructive tag team in the history of the ECW.

What separated Bubba Ray from the rest of ECW was a sadistic mean streak that was a far cry from the stuttering, Bubba Ray that first debuted with the organization. During an ECW show in Toledo, Ohio, shortly before their Federation debut, the Dudleys competed against their brother, Spike, and Balls Mahoney at an ECW television taping. Bubba Ray grabbed and held his victim by the hair. He gazed into the camera, wiped off his opponent's blood, tasted it, wiped it over his face and devilishly thanked Vince McMahon for signing the Dudleys to a Federation contract.

Now back with ECW with the Federation Tag Team Championship in tow, Bubba Ray should be considered very dangerous to all that stand in his way!

D'von Dudley

D-Von Dudley created three commandments that are the most powerful in all of sports-entertainment:

"Thou shalt not kill."
"Thou shalt not steal."
"And thou shalt not mess with the Dudleys."

D-Von first uttered those words in Extreme Championship Wrestling. A combined 11 ECW/World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championships and a trail of broken bodies in a career spanning more than four years is proof that the Dudley Commandments are worth their weight in gold.

When D-Von joined his brothers in ECW, the Dudleys were an oddball collection from the town of Dudleyville. The serious and sinister D-Von felt that an attitude adjustment was necessary for the Dudleys to dominate the organization. It didn't take long for most of the family to go home to Dudleyville, and for D-Von and half brother Bubba Ray to begin a reign of terror that still continues today in the Federation.

D-Von complements the massive strength of Bubba Ray with speed and impressive high-flying capability. D-Von's formula for winning is simple: wear an opponent out early before tagging in Bubba Ray, who flattens his poor victim before setting him up his half brother to fly from the top rope and connect with a headbutt south of the border. In most cases, the Dudleys set up the victim for 3D - the Dudley Death Drop. Whether it's 3D or a ride through a table, D-Von signals to the crowd and his victim that it's time to testify to the Dudleys!
